Satmap 10 Peaks The Lakes


Entries operate on a first come first served basis. The cost for entry is £50 with any proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support. If there are any places available after 1st May the entry free will increase to £65. This includes:

  • Coach transport from Keswick to the start
  • Food and drink at each aid station
  • Hot soup and a roll at the finish
  • Harvey mountain map on waterproof paper with the suggested route and check points
  • A mini-bus shuttle service from Honister Slate Mine back to Keswick (if required)
  • Satmap 10 Peaks branded technical T-shirt
  • Satmap 10 Peaks branded duffle bag
  • Finishers medal
  • Secure online entry
  • Medical support by Mountain Trauma
  • A 5% donation to the National Trust, who maintain the National Park that we will be using, will be made from each entry fee.


Withdrawals

Should you wish to withdraw from the event please email the organiser. No refunds are available but please do notify the organiser with as much notice as possible if you are unable to compete as this will allow another person to take your place and therefore raise more money. If you notify us before 1st May you will receive a discount on the following year’s event.

Important notes for participants:

  1. To enter the Satmap 10 Peaks you must have experience of endurance events.
  2. You must be a competent navigator or gain experience prior to the event and be able to navigate at night.
  3. Whilst it is possible to walk the Satmap 10 Peaks within the 24 hour cut-off, a steady pace must be maintained. If anyone falls behind the check point cutoff times they must be prepared to continue without further support of any kind.
  4. Weather in the Lakes is unpredictable and can be extreme. It is essential you have the correct kit and experience to deal with changing conditions.
  5. In entering the Satmap 10 Peaks you must be physically fit and take responsibility for your own health and safety for the duration of the course.
  6. The Satmap 10 Peaks is a charity event and participants are kindly asked to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
