The Highest Check Point in England

If you think that there is something slightly odd about those willing to tackle the 10 Peaks Challenge you wouldn’t be far wrong! But now even the event sponsors are pushing the boundaries – Aqua Consultants, who are sponsoring Scafell Pike (977m), are setting up an aid station there!

From a race organisers perspective the logistics of providing food and water to particpants is particularly difficult for the 10 Peaks Challenge because once you cross the A591, you’ll not see another road until you get to Honister Slate Mine, 8 peaks later. But Aqua Consultants have come to the rescue taking their sponsorship of Scafell Pike to the next level. A team from Aqua will be climbing the highest mountain in England and setting up a fully stocked aid station. They will carry with them Lakeland Spring water (a limted supply), energy bars, gels, fruit and other goodies to give a much needed boost to those taking part in the event.

This new check point will become check point 2, whilst CP3 will be located at Beck Head (620m)  – the saddle of Great Gable (kindly sponsored once again by Care for Health) and Kirk Fell. Where you will find a limited supply of food and water.
